The voyage of “discovery of the film genres” goes on to the fantastic world of noir, thriller, horror and comedy. This spectacular voyage in the genre filmmaking will take place through film showings which will be part of the festival scheduled programme but also through a series of meetings, talks and conferences ( organized by Suessola Film Festival) with film stars and new talents who want to succeed in the wonderful world of cinema.

The idea of turning this festival into a real cinema workshop where the future talents can be trained and then launched is coming more and more true.

Film director, scriptwriter and Professor of Digital Film Direction at “La Sapienza University” in Rome, GIAN PIETRO CALASSO will take the opportunity to present his new book “LO SPETTACOLO COME IL SOGNO E IL GIOCO DELLA SOCIETA'” with Giorgio Albertazzi and Gabriele Lavia.
The presentation of the book will be an opportunity for the audience to take part in a seminar in which everybody can ask the author questions.

The festival will start on the 5th of June at Hall 4 of BIG, the multiscreen cinema at the Caserta Sud exit of the motorway.
This fourth edition will have a lot of new ideas like the one dedicated to the “democracy of gendre” promoting the presence of women in cinema with the showings of short films whose directors are women ( this part is called “LO SGUARDO DELLE DONNE”, women's view), and also a part dedicated to the Spanish short film called DIBUJOS ESPAÑOLES, Spanish drawings.

On the 8th of June there will be a gala night at BIG cinema in Marcianise during the which the winners and many stars of Italian cinema like GIUSEPPE FERRARA (director), ANNA AMMIRATI (actress), ANGELO BASSI (AB film producer and distributor), ANGELO ANTONUCCI, will receive their awards.

On the 9th and 10th the festival goes on with the conference dedicated to the “cinetourism” and a debate about the importance of music in the films following the example of cinema legends like Kubrick and Hitchcock who used music in an extraordinary way.

But the crux of the festival will always be the films in competition that as always will be judged by a jury made up of several experts and above all they will be viewed by the most important Italian producers.
The Best Short Film will be awarded as usual with a 1500m film, offered by CAMPANIA FILM COMMISSION, whose RINO PICCOLO is helpful as usual.
