The 2006 edition of Suessola Film Festival will focus on the theme “ The rediscovery of the film genres”. It will be a Festival dedicated to the genre filmmaking, that's why only the films which use a structure of genre following the lesson of great masters of cinema like Hitchcock, Welles, Kubrick will be admitted to the competition.

The Festival dedicates particular attention to the image aesthetics, to those works which pay special attention to the cinema language. Language should never be an end in itself, but it should always express contents. The Suessola Film Festival aims at promoting a kind of cinema that will be the expression of high moral and ethical contents, that will never be dull and always aiming at diffusing important values which are useful to make a better world. All this seems to be necessary, considering the hard times we are living.

Modern societies are dominated by violence, wars, drug-using, thirst of power and money, lack of respect for the human dignity. That is the reason why Suessola Film Festival decided to focus on the young. They represent the future and have the responsibility for a better society.
So The Suessola Film Festival aims at promoting those works that excite the audience by conveying important contents to them through a constant aesthetical search.

The finalists, who will appear on the posters promoting the festival, will be hosted by the organization. During the screening of the shorts they will have the possibility to discuss their works with the juries in a constructive debate in order to enhance their technical and artistical knowledge.

With the hope that this edition will be as extraordinary as the previous one, Suessola Film Festival wish you all a 2006 devoted to the great cinema.
