Suessola Film Festival, a cultural event dedicated to art, culture and performing arts was born in San Felice a Cancello (Caserta, Italy) in the old Suessola Valley. It is structured into two different sections: a section is for the works in competition (dedicated to cinema, music and photography) whereas the other is for those out of competition (dedicated to painting, literature and social solidarity).
The film competition is dedicated to the shortfilms, and it is divided into three sections:
• The poetry of reality: works dealing with the relationship between contemporary man and his society will be admitted to the competition.
• Cinema as experimentation of language: work pursuing a certain aesthetical research as far as language is concerned will be admitted to the competition.
• “Rediscovering film genres”: works following a narrative structure typical of cinema genres (thriller, horror, noir, etc...) will be admitted to the competition.
The selected works will be judged by a jury made up of specialists in the field, that will award the best shorts with the “Golden Castle” and the best direction with the Great Prize of the jury.

The musical competition is open to all artists presenting three unpublished songs. Finalist songs will be judged by a technical-artistical jury chaired by PATTY PRAVO. The winner will be awarded with the “Golden Castle” and prize money.
During the festival, painting and sculpture exhibitions will be mounted and new books will be presented in order to give voice to emerging artists. The festival aims at discovering new talents in the world of art, culture and performing arts.
Some stands will be also mounted for organizations working in social work like AMREF, Doctors without borders, Emergency, Nessuno tocchi Caino.
